Course Description:

Active Killer Interdiction Instructor is designed to assist officers and agencies to create or maintain a progressive and robust interdiction program. This course focuses on instructor proficiency and maximizing training resources to achieve agency goals as it relates to an Active Killer incident. Students will work through our Identify – Breach – Act – Care model.

AKI Instructor is an intense, comprehensive 5-day instructor development program, laying a foundation for a proactive solo officer response. The course work will subsequently scale as the problem-solving increases and more resources become available to the student. The tactics, techniques, and procedures shown are based on tried-and-true, data driven law enforcement approaches to minimize risk and maximize effectiveness.

Student Instructors will be taught the principles and concepts of interior and exterior movements, patrol level breaching, the balancing of speed and accuracy, shot accountability, communication, link ups, and transitioning to medical interventions from triage to evacuations.

Student Instructors will be required to pass a written examination, individual performance evaluations, and an evaluated Student Instructor led drill. Upon successful completion of the 40-hour course, Student Instructors will receive the course materials and certification from Centrifuge Training, LLC.
